Sammy Griner became a hit when his mother, Laney, posted a photo of her 11-month-old son online in 2007.

Of course, she could never have predicted what would happen. Thanks to this photo, Sammy’s father’s life was saved. Thanks to the large-scale fame the picture earned online, the family was able to raise enough money to pay for a kidney transplant for Justin Griner.

This photo was taken in January 2004 by the girl’s father, Dave. He took the photo of Zoe Roth in the context of a training session for the local fire department.

The image gained a lot of fame when it was published in JPG Magazine.

3. Scumbag Steve

This popular online image was made for a 2011 album by rap group Beantown Mafia and features a young man named Blake Boston.

As the star of this meme later admitted, the photo was taken by her mother.

This photograph of student Kyle Craven, posted by his classmate, started doing the rounds online in 2012. It soon became a popular meme.

According to Kyle, the photo was taken repeatedly because his teachers thought he was deliberately making a goofy face.

This girl named Chloe became an internet star when her parents uploaded a video of her to YouTube in 2013, in which her sister Lily is so happy to go to Disneyland that she starts crying.

Chloe reacts with a confused expression. It seems the girl saw no reason for such an emotional reaction to Disneyland.

6. Overly Attached Girlfriend

Laina Walker woke up one day in 2012 when one of her YouTube videos attracted great attention from Internet users. In it, she presents a version of the song “Boyfriend” by Justin Beiber as part of a competition announced by the famous singer.

We wish you good luck, of course, but … look at those eyes!

7. “Ermahgerd”

This meme shows a young woman with a somewhat grotesque expression of emotion on her face, who seems to really like the books she is holding.

The fact that she has an orthodontic appliance led Internet users to imagine that she would have a problem with her speech and therefore the “Ermahgerd” (“Oh my gosh”) meme was born.

The meme star is Maggie Goldenberger. This is an old photo: she has now grown up and works as a nurse.

Little actress Mia Talerico became the star of an internet meme several years ago. The image of her highly expressive face is actually a scene from the television show Good Luck Charlie, which aired in 2010.

At the London 2012 Olympics, gymnast McKayla Maroney was convinced that she could win gold. But something went wrong, and in her competition, she came in second.

The young woman was so disappointed and dissatisfied with her performance that she couldn’t even hide it during the award ceremony.
